Submission Guidelines
Proposals/abstracts are due by October 1, 2025. Proposals are limited to 2 per presenter – 1 as a primary proposer and the 1 as a co-presenter. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Review your proposal thoroughly before submitting. Proposals must be submitted in English.
The conference program committee will select proposals/abstracts based on the following criteria: (A) Importance of the Topic to the Field; (B) Usefulness to Practitioners; and (C) Relevance to Learners, Families, and/or Educators of Diverse Groups.
Presentation Types:
Lecture Presentation: 25 minutes + 5 min Q&A (two presentations in a 60-minute period). The purpose of the lecture presentation is to provide information on research in the field as related to one or more topics listed in the call for proposals with a component about translating the research findings into practice in a way that inspires people to think about and talk about the relevance and useful applications in real-world situations.
Interactive Workshop: 25 minutes + 5 min Q&A (two workshops in a 60-minute period). The purpose of the workshop session is to assist participants in understanding and utilizing classroom or community-based practices and approaches. The presenter(s) will introduce subject, demonstrate the technique, guide the audience in practicing the application, and allow for discussion.
Panel Discussion: 50 minutes + 10min Q&A. This format is intended to bring together three experts to exchange opinions on a particular subject from multiple perspectives. These sessions will be moderated and are excellent for examining difficult problems from various angles and assisting participants in developing a deeper comprehension of the topic. The moderator’s role is to assist in directing the discussion, making sure that all panelists have an opportunity to speak and that a range of perspectives are covered
Poster Presentation: The purpose of poster sessions is to visually and interactively present research and cutting-edge techniques. Participants can work through the content at their own speed and can have in-depth discussions with the presenter(s). By promoting active communication between the speaker and the audience, this format creates a cooperative setting where concepts can be exchanged, discussed, and improved.
